The Marine Rescue vessel ‘Guardamar Caliope’ this afternoon provided a warm welcome to 64 Sub-Saharan travellers on board a dinghy about eight miles from the Isla de Alborán, escorting them safely to the port of Motril.
There were 48 males, of which 8 are thought to be minors, and 16 women, at least two of whom are pregnant.
The Red Cross were on hand in Motril to provide refreshments and complimentary medical checks.
