The suspension of the tram service in Vélez-Málaga will not now take place until November 14th according to the latest reports. The service had been scheduled to cease on November 1st.
The Mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Francisco Delgado, announced that he had met with the president of the Junta de Andalucia, José Antonio Griñán, in the corridors of the parliament building and as a result was postponing the suspension of the tram service to allow time for a response from the president.
However, there are conflicting reports of what was said or agreed in the corridor so it is anyone’s guess as to whether anything constructive will occur.
