Friday November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the Council is planning several official activities for this day.
At 11:45 in the plenary hall of the Council there will be a reading of a manifesto followed at 12:00 by a gathering outside the Town Hall to observe one minute’s silence for the victims of gender violence.
At 17:30 there will be a march from the Town Hall and following the route: calle Pintada, Cruz, Animas, Granada, San Miguel, Angustias, Pintada, Puerta del Mar and on to the Balcón de Europa.
In front of the iglesia El Salvador, the marchers will pay homage to those women killed during the past year as a result of gender violence.
