Hepatitis A outbreak in Granada

Around 800 people in Almajayar, Granada province, have been vaccinated against Hepatitis A after an outbreak of the disease in the area.

The alert began after eight children were affected after having been in contact with a pool of residual waters in calle Rey Badis. As a precautionary measure, 800 people deemed potentially at risk were subsequently vaccinated. The outbreak is now said to be under control and the source of the infection is being eliminated.
