A small device exploded last night near the Olympic Stadium in La Cartuja, Sevilla, causing minor damage to street furniture.
The device, concealed in a plant container, exploded at 22:30 in an area on the outskirts of La Cartuja. The area has no houses and few people visit the area when there are no sporting events taking place.
The police cordoned off the area and carried out scientific tests to determine the exact nature of the explosive device.
