At around 21:00 on Sunday evening a boat carrying twenty illegal immigrants arrived at Cala Cable beach in Cuevas del Almanzora, Almeria, where the authorities were on hand to transfer them to the port of Almeria.
The ‘suspicious’ boat had been detected at 19:30 by the SIVE surveillance system. The Red Cross were in attendance in the port to offer the passengers blankets, dry clothes, shoes, water and hot drinks before transferring them into the capable hands of the National Police.
