A meeting will be held 18:30 on Thursday, February 9th, at the Municipal Hall in Calle Cristo, to discuss further the proposed White Night (Noche en Blanca) cultural event to be held on May 19th 2012.
The Noche en Blanca idea was born in Paris in 2002 as a project to bring contemporary culture to the city and its inhabitants. It became popular, with several European cities hosting similar events and out of this grew the White Nights Europe program.
The common objectives of the White Nights are: free, art, citizenship and sustainability. The program encourages the exchange of experiences and ideas through the development of joint programs as well as the internationalization of local artists.
The meeting is open to any person representing local groups or associations relating to cultural activities as well as to individuals wanting to participate in the project.
