The Council intends to propose a motion at the next plenary session to convey to the new Government of Spain the need for an agreement to prevent the exploration and exploitation of oil resources in the waters off the Malaga coast.
The motion will also urge the Government to immediately suspend the permits granted by the previous government and for the Junta de Andalucía to set up a committee to adopt appropriate resolutions against prospecting for hydrocarbons along the Malaga coast.
