Four people have been arrested in Jaén in the never-ending saga of women, particularly foreign, being forced into prostitution by organised networks.
The women, 29 of whom have also been detained for contravening immigration laws, were enticed from Paraguay with promises of contracts in the tourism industry. they were provided with airline tickets and some money to spend for their first few days but then forced into prostitution in clubs in Guarromán and Andújar in order to settle their ‘debts’. A familiar story.
The detainees are three Spanish nationals from Jaén who ran the brothels and a Paraguayan businessman who operated a travel agency.
