A 17 month old girl is in a serious condition in Intensive Care after falling four metres from the first floor balcony of a municipal building in Motril, Granada province.
The baby was in a pram and at the time of the incident and the mother was talking on her mobile phone. The baby fell about four metres to the inner patio and suffered a head injury. A workman in the patio tried to catch the falling baby but was unfortunately unsuccessful.
The baby is currently in the ICU of the Hospital Materno-Infantil in Granada.
