Workers at the municipal cleaning service Limasa have called off their strike action in Jerez de la Frontera.
The strike affected 47 primary and secondary schools in the area with many pupils being forced to stay at home.
The decision to call off the strike came after the workers received one of the three months of outstanding salaries with a promise a further payment shortly.
