Sunday May 6th is the XXVIII Día del Níspero in the town of Sayalonga with around 8,000 people expected to attend.
The day sees the distribution of around 2,000 kilos of nisperos along with 500 litres of local wine donated by the Agricultural Cooperative Ucopaxa. Also available are local jams and a nispero liqueur made by the Women’s Association El Moral.
During the day, from 12:00 to 19:00, there is a variety of entertainment, including flamenco, taking place in Plaza Rafael Alcoba as well as a crafts market.
