The match between Nerja and Huétor Tájar in the Third Division Group 9 was abandoned after 71 minutes when the Nerja goalkeeper, having been shown a red card, attacked the referee.
Shown a straight red card, apparently for insulting the official, the goalkeeper ran over to the referee and struck him in the face, knocking him to the ground, and followed this up by kicking him.
Referee Crespo Sánchez from Cádiz was unconscious for a few seconds as a result of the attack. He was then transferred to hospital for tests.
