A 57 year old woman has died in Santa Maria de Palautordera, Barcelona, as a result of injuries sustained on Wednesday, allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend.
The woman was found badly injured, although conscious, on the street on Wednesday and rushed to hospital. However, she failed to recover from her injuries and died this morning. Her boyfriend, 65 year old Sebastián E.P., has been arrested as the alleged aggressor.
The woman had earlier denounced her partner for ill-treatment. She becomes the 27th victim of gender violence so far this year and the 10th in Cataluña.
