Thieves broke into the hermitage in Mijas Pueblo in the early hours of this morning and stole the crown of the Virgen de la Peña and two crowns of the baby Jesus. The thieves broke in at around 04:20 on Thursday morning after disabling the exterior lights and stole the items from a glass case near the altar. The Guardia Civil is investigating the incident.
