Beach crawl, the good and the not so good…

El Chucho beach, NerjaStrangely, El Chucho beach is the one beach that does actually have an explanation of the warning flag system on the information board. Quite a few people on the beach this afternoon…

The lifeguards had found a new vantage point.

They did have their walkie-talkies. I am only assuming they belonged to the empty lifeguard station as there was no-one else around. If they did, a bit far from the beach to be of much help.

On El Playazo beach it was a similar story, the lifeguard post unmanned for quite a while – 45 minutes that I saw. If it was a lunch break, surely they would arrange suitable cover!

Most people are now using the free car parking areas at El Playazo, but not quite everyone.

There are several highly visible signs pointing to the free car parking areas, although I only saw one ‘no parking sign’ along the road.

Torrecilla beach was quite crowded as usual.

But there was something conspicuous by its absence.
