A 47 year old man died on Thursday afternoon after falling into a hopper of hot ash while working at a power plant in the village of Las Moradillas in the municipality of Palenciana, Córdoba province.
The accident occurred at around 21:30 and although efforts were made to shore up the hopper so that the man could breath, the attempts were unsuccessful and he died.
The incident is being investigated by the Labour Inspectorate.
