The PA in Vélez-Málaga has submitted a written request to the ruling PP Council to urgently clean up the various streams and channels in the municipality to prevent possible overflows and flooding.
They cite the arroyo San Sebastián as being particularly bad, blocked as a result of landslides and accumulation of debris and rubbish. They also state that the streams Mineral, Romero, Molineta, Del Negro, Salinas, Zahurdones, La Moneda, Chilches, Cañuelo, Las Adelfas, Los Arquillos, Iberos-Cajíz, Ermita de Almayate, Del Búho and Fuente de Gámez are all in need of urgent attention.
