The Nerja Caves is organising a speleology course, a mixture of online and practical work, starting in November and the lucky participants will get a chance to visit the upper galleries of the Caves, areas not open to the general public.
This introductory course on speleology is for the most part online using the virtual platforms of the Escuela Andaluza de Espeleología – Andalucian School of Speleology. This has the benefit that the course can be carried at times suitable to the students and avoids the travel and accommodation costs usually associated with such events.
The course ends with practical experience on the climbing wall at the Nerja Caves.
There are only ten places available on the course and registration is from now until all the places are filled. The course will begin on November 5th, with the visit to the upper galleries of the Nerja Caves taking place on November 25th and the final evaluation taking place on December 5th.
The course, given by the company Descubre Guías del Sur, costs €135 and includes access to the virtual platforms of the Escuela Andaluza de Espeleología, online and telephone support, necessary materials for practical experience on November 24th and 25th, certification from the Escuela Andaluza, specialist teachers and coaches, access to the Nerja Caves and the Upper Galleries.
