Cantabria has become the ninth region to request a bailout from the Autonomous Liquidity Fund (FLA), although it maintains that it is not a ‘bailout’ but a ‘funding formula’. The amount is a relatively modest €137.2 million and has to be paid back within a period of ten years.
The other regions that have so far requested a bailout/funding formula/victory for the euro are: Cataluña, Andalucía, Valencia, Asturias, Baleares, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha and Canarias.
