The Council is applying to the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Sport of the Junta de Andalucia for an extension to the ‘large tourist municipality’ status, the current agreement running out this year.
The ‘large tourist municipality’ status allows unlimited opening for shops during Easter Week and from July 1st to September 15th each year. The Council is looking to extend the agreement to 2016.
