In another incident involving a boat full of illegal immigrants, 2 bodies have been recovered and 49 people have been rescued off the coast of Morocco in an operation carried out by the Spanish and Moroccan authorities.
Thirty-six men, twelve women and a baby were rescued after a call was received stating that a boat carrying 51 people had set off from the costa de Alhucemas in Morocco and was heading for Spain.
Several Spanish vessels and a plane were involved in the search for the boat but it was a Moroccan plane which ultimately located the small craft.
