At least fourteen people were injured and ten arrests were made in various parts of Málaga province during the Halloween festivities, the most serious altercation occurring in Puerto Banus.
There were ten arrests and six people were injured, one suffering multiple stab wounds to the back, after an early morning fight between two gangs in Puerto Banus. The brawl began inside a disco and then continued on the streets around plaza Antonio Banderas.
A 21 year old youth suffered stab wounds during the incident but managed to leave the scene after the fight dissolved. However, he later rejoined the fray as the fight resumed near the entrance to Puerto Banus.
The injured youth was eventually tended by paramedics and then transferred to the Hospital Costa del Sol where he remains under observation. The knife wounds, five in total, were not as serious as first thought, missing any vital organs.
Elsewhere in the province there were a number of fights and acts of vandalism, most notably in Plaza de la Merced in Málaga, Marbella, Cártama and Estepona.
