The Government delegate in Andalucia, Carmen Crespo, has appealed for the cooperation of unions and other organisations planning demonstrations for Wednesday to avoid conflict so that the day ends without incident.
According to Crespo, the Government will ensure compliance with the Constitution and not allow violation of the law at any time. In addition to ensuring that demonstrations are carried out peacefully, there will be special surveillance of public transportation systems, major roads, markets and distribution hubs throughout the community to also protect the rights of citizens who do not participate in the strike.
The government delegation in Andalucia has set up a security force, which starts at midnight, consisting of 15,000 Guardia Civil and 3,000 National Police.
