An additional event to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women will take place at the Giner de los Rios centre in calle Diputación on Saturday November 24th starting at 11:00.
It is a lecture entitled ‘En busca de buen amor’ – In search of good love’ – given by María del Mar Padrón, psychologist and lecturer at the Institute of Sexology in Málaga. The lecture focuses on preventing gender violence among young people.
On Sunday November 25th at 12:45 in the Town Hall there will be a reading of a statement rejecting violence against women and at 13:00 there will be a gathering on the Balcón de Europa to remember those women killed this year as a result of domestic violence.
At 18:00 at the Nerja Cultural Centre, calle Granada 45, is a performance of the play ‘Las atacadas’ – ‘The attacked’ – by the Maria Zambrano theatre company. The play is a comedy which also addresses the issue of gender violence. Admission is free.
