The simulated crash in the Torrox-Nerja tunnel, involving three burning vehicles and eight wounded, was apparently conducted to everyone’s satisfaction. Members of the Civil Protection, suitably made-up, acted as victims in the exercise. The response time of units from Nerja was 10 minutes and from Vélez-Málaga it was 18 minutes. Extinction and rescue were made without incident and the simulation was completed successfully.
