The Department of Tourism and Trade of the Junta de Andalucia has archived the disciplinary proceedings brought against Nerja Association of Employers (AEN) for holding a discount feria last February, an action which initially resulted in a €3,001 fine being imposed on the AEN.
Under these circumstances, the Department of Tourism and Trade did not the event as being in breach of the Trade Act.
The AEN is now planning a similar event in February 2013.
The main reasons for archiving the matter were that the event was held in a public place, Plaza de España, with the approval at all times of the Nerja Council, including during the Local Government meeting of September 27th 2012.
