Police in Barcelona have arrested a man on suspicion of involvement in the death of a woman who went missing last August. Although the body has not been found, the man is accused of killing the woman and then subsequently dismembering the corpse and disposing of the parts in various rubbish containers.
The detainee is Manuel Enrique A.G,, a 34 year old Peruvian national. The victim is a 29 year old woman of Ecuadorian nationality.
According to reports, the man wanted to start a relationship with the woman and arranged to meet her in a square in the centre of Barcelona. The woman was never seen again.
