Fuengirola Council has incorporated a new Works and Services on the Public Highway ordinance which makes it compulsory for service companies to ensure that all piping is placed underground at the time any roadworks are carried out.
The ordinance also stipulates the conditions for the establishment, layout, maintenance, removal, replacement, modification or removal of pipelines. It also regulates the inspection of roads affected by improvement works, the facilities and implementation, and the use of pedestrian areas for vehicles and construction machinery.
