Benamocarra Council has invested €90,000 to provide a Municipal Youth Centre, the aim being to encourage young people to engage in more healthy pursuits, rather than drinking.
The centre is in the old Hermandad de Labradores building in avenida Blas Infante and is shared with the local Civil Protection unit.
There will be workshops, films, board games, courses, football, table tennis, Wii and Play Station games and much more, all designed to try and provide an alternative to the ‘botellón’.
