Catalan Police have arrested the former partner of a woman found dead on Monday at her home in calle de Lepant in Reus, Tarragona.
The detainee is 33 year old Ángel Ventura J.L., a Spanish national and resident of Reus.
The victim, who had a two year old daughter, ended the relationship about a month ago. Police arrived at the house after neighbours reported hearing screams. They found the lifeless body of the victim and, in the bathroom, her sister who had suffered several stab wounds.
The detainee is due to appear in court on Wednesday.
