Today, Tuesday March 19th, is the funeral of the 43 year old woman killed in Ecija, Sevilla, allegedly by her husband who is now in custody.
The victim had attempted to end the relationship in 2004 and had denounced her husband for abuse but later withdrew the complaints.
The husband was arrested shortly after the incident and was taken to hospital in Ecija after apparently digesting a number of sleeping pills. The victim lived in the El Valle district of Ecija and had three children.
The town has declared two days of official mourning.
