After seventy-one days of strike action, which caused several public health alerts, the industrial action by rubbish collectors in El Coronil, Sevilla, is over.
The municipal government and representatives of the Andalucian Workers Union (SAT), who called the strike, signed an agreement at 14:00 on Wednesday.
All staff will return to work today, Thursday, and the mayor of El Coronil, Jerónimo Guerrero (PSOE), hopes that the town can be clean by the weekend.
