A 33 year old woman died on Thursday in Oliva, Valencia, allegedly at the hands of her partner who has been arrested.
The incident occurred at around 01:00 on Thursday morning at a house in avenida de Vicente Parra, Oliva. The victim, 33 year old I.G.R., a Spanish national, has an eight year old son who was in the house at the time of the incident but was apparently sleeping.
A visiting family member alerted the police at 02:30. The victim died as a result of a blow to the head but police have not yet been able to isolate the object used. The detainee has apparently given conflicting accounts of the incident.
