Car Entrance Tax and ‘No Parking’ signs

The Town Hall has sent a letter to all garage owners and those with gated car access to their property who have a ‘No Parking’ Sign (Vado Permanente – Entradas y Salidas de Vehiculos) to inform them of a change to the system.

The letter refers to the car entrance tax for year 2013 that will now include the No Parking Sign and will cost approximately €25 more for having this sign.

The No Parking Sign permits owners to call the police if a car is parked in front of their car entrance.

The Car Entrance Tax is currently one year in arrears, which means you will shortly be paying for 2012 at the existing rate of €105. For 2013 the tax is being increased to €130.

Anyone who no longer wants their No Parking Sign, should go to the reception counter at the Town Hall (on the ground floor) before May 17th 2013, taking with them the sign and a short letter in Spanish saying that the sign is no longer required. By doing this will not have to pay the tax increase.
