Valencia and Real Sociedad are still battling for the fourth Champions League slot, both teams winning their matches on Saturday.
Valencia were 0-1 winners at Getafe, Mathieu getting the only goal from a set piece early in the second half.
Real Sociedad came from a goal down to overcome Sevilla 1-2. Rakitic gave Real Sociedad the lead after ten minutes, but then headed into his own goal five minutes later. It was Agirretxe who volleyed Real into the lead midway through the first half and that’s the way it stayed until the end.
Granada are virtually safe from relegation after a 3-0 victory over fellow strugglers Osasuna, El-Arabi, Siqueira and Buonanotte getting the goals.
