The consumer organisation FACUA has warned that an error by the BBVA bank has led to duplicate charges for electricity, water and telephone bills for a huge number of customers.
The error has been detected in Sevilla, Córdoba , Madrid and Valencia and FACUA has advised people, even if they are not actually BBVA customers, to check their bank statements.
The bank has apparently confirmed that it will begin returning the money immediately.
