The long summer holidays are on the horizon and for many people it can be a difficult time juggling employment – the lucky ones – and keeping the kids occupied.
There are a number of public and private options available, with summer camps and schools starting at around €20 per week, excluding meals, but the economic crisis is taking its toll. Even with subsidies and discounts, reservations are down by as much as 50% this year as more people are trying to enlist the help of family members or friends.
