A 51 year-old man has been arrested in Granada on suspicion of stabbing his wife. The incident occurred as they left the office of the lawyer dealing with their divorce proceedings.
The incident occurred at 20:00 in calle San Juan de Letrán in the centre of Granada city. The man allegedly stabbed his wife several times in the back and hand. Passers by and members of the law firm restrained the man to halt the attack. The alleged assailant still had the knife in his hand and was covered in blood when he was arrested by the police.
The woman was taken in a mobile ICU to the Hospital Ruiz de Alda in Granada where her condition is said to be serious.
