The UGT and CCOO unions are calling upon 6,000 service station employees in Andalucia and 60,000 in the whole of Spain to support strike action during July following the breakdown of talks with management.
The management apparently refuses to honour seniority and raise wages, which have been frozen since 2009.
The unions realise that a July strike will harm tourism but say they will try to do the least damage possible.
