An eight-year-old child died on Sunday in a swimming in Estación de Cabra in the municipality Cabra del Santo Cristo, Jaén province.
At around 20:30 on Sunday evening the Emergency Services were notified that there was a child who was ‘ill’ in the swimming pool belonging to the Bergilia complex.
Medics could do nothing to revive the boy. Drowning is thought to be the cause of death but the authorities are waiting for the results of an autopsy before confirming this.
