A 73-year-old man drowned this afternoon at Valdelagrana beach in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz.
The man, from the Basque Country, had been swimming but disappeared from sight. A family member alerted the lifeguards and a search was started.
The man’s body was found floating in an area of the beach in front of Vigalpe. He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
