National Police and Guardia Civil officers have found the lifeless body of a man who allegedly shot and killed another man in the centre of Cuenca on Friday.
On Friday afternoon at around 19:00 in calle Travesia de Las Torres, next to the San Julian Park, a 30-year-old man, initials RMC, died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. The fatal shot is thought to have been fired from a car.
A police helicopter was involved in the search for the vehicle and it was located next to a landfill site in Cuenca. The body of the alleged killer was found at the site and it is thought that he could have taken hos own life.
One hypothesis being reported is that the alleged murderer was the former lover of a woman who was currently having an affair with the victim.
