The Council plenary session tomorrow will see the approval of the Special Plan for the Protection of the Historic Site of Maro.
The plan is considered to be very important for the residents of Maro as it will allow the Council to grant licences for construction and maintenance work rather than having to seek the approval of the Department of Culture of the Junta de Andalucia.
According to the Council, approving the plan is being carried out with favourable reports from both the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Environment with responsibility for regional planning.
The Council has been pushing for this plan for many years now.
