The Civil Protection is warning hikers not to walk the rio Chillar, particularly to Los Cahorros, on Thursday August 29th due to the forecast of heavy rains.
There is a weather alert for storms and heavy rains from 10:00 on Thursday August 29th to midnight on August 30th. The meteorological office is currently forecasting that the rainfall could be up to 25 litres per hour.
Local Police and Civil Protection officers will be stationed at the entrance of the main hiking area and if the alert rises to ‘red’ than the area will be closed to the public.
