A total of 148 swimmers completed the course during the first Lighthouse Swim held at Ferrara Playa, Torrox Costa, at the weekend.
There were 167 swimmers registered for the event, each paying an entrance fee of €10. The proceeds of the event, €1,670, are destined for the charitable organisation Amigos de Anzaldo, an ONG which has been carrying out development projects in Bolivia since 1993.
