The XXX Carrera Feria de Maro, run over a distance of 2,400 metres, attracted around 200 athletes with Olympian and Nerja Athletics Club member Álvaro Fernández winning the men’s event in a time of 8 minutes 23.09 seconds.
In second place was Daniel Moreno and third was Francisco Urbano. In the women’s race, the winner was Maite Urdiales, also a Nerja Athletics Club member, in a time of 10 minutes 23.06 seconds. Second was Toñi Rodríguez and in third place was Isabel Sánchez.
