In the period from July 31st to September 7th, the newly created Emaús Social Dining Centre has provided 17,613 daily menus (breakfast, lunch, dinner) to the needy in the community, either as eat-in in the dining room or as take-away.
The dining centre was set up with €90,000 donated by municipal officials from their Christmas bonuses and the scheme has so far benefited 175 families daily.
The Emaús Social Dining Centre is open daily from 12:30 to 13:30 for the collection of meals and from 13:30 for people lunching in the dining room in calle Esperanza.
