WebcrawlerStill on the green stuff much favoured by Popeye, the town of Alma in Arkansas also boasts of being the Spinach Capital of the World. The question still remains, though. If Kansas is pronounced ‘kan-zas’, why is Arkansas pronounced ‘Ar-kan-saw’?
