The Materno Infantil Hospital in Málaga is investigating a case where two babies appear to have been switched and handed over to the wrong parents.
The error was noticed by the grandmother of one of the women when she spotted that her daughter, who had given birth to a baby girl, had brought home a baby boy.
It seems that the wrong identity bracelets were placed on the two babies while they were in the hospital incubators shortly after their birth. The hospital has apologised to both couples for the error.
